The building at Václavské náměstí 62 was constructed in 1998 as one of the most modern buildings in Prague. Currently, it is undergoing renovation, and upon completion, it will offer a wide range of uses. The ground floor will feature retail spaces, while the following 4 floors will provide modern office spaces designed to meet today's requirements and can be customized according to the customer's preferences. The last 2 floors will include luxurious private apartments.
The present eight-story building stands on a narrow and irregular plot of land that originated after the founding of New Town by Charles IV in 1348. The original three-story house was built in 1868 in a neoclassical style and was extended by two additional floors in 1925. After 1994, the new owners decided to replace the unsuitable structure with a modern, representative building that would offer both commercial and administrative spaces, as well as luxurious living accommodations. The newly established Skala bank was supposed to have its headquarters in the commercial spaces, but it ceased operations even before the completion of the building.
The current building was constructed between 1996 and 1998 based on the architectural design of DREXLER & VRBATA – ARCHITECTS. Given the narrow and elongated plot, the historic surroundings, and the neighboring buildings, the design was a challenging task. However, the architects addressed it in an original way. The facade consists of two layers – structural and decorative (semantic). Visible vertical and horizontal structures intersect with three geometric patterns (rectangle, circle, and triangle) created with dual-colored artificial stone cladding and corresponding prints on the window glass panels. According to the authors, these patterns represent the three fundamental form constants of architecture.
The new construction received recognition not only from experts but also from the general public, which warmly embraced it.

Wenceslas Square is considered one of the most prestigious addresses. In addition to its prime location, the building offers another significant advantage - easy accessibility. In its immediate vicinity, you will find Muzeum metro station, and a tram stop within walking distance. Even though we are in the center of Prague, thanks to the direct connection to the highway network and the main road, getting to the building by car is not a problem either.
